Dr. Sumati Varma is a Professor of Commerce at Sri Aurobindo College (Evening), University of Delhi, and has three decades of varied and extensive teaching and research experience.

She is an academician, consultant, and award winning prolific writer with several books and research papers in reputed academic journals to her credit. In addition to her sole publications, she has co-authored and co-edited several books, making it clearly evident that effective international collaborations are her forte.

Her teaching and research interests include issues in firm internationalization, foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, international entrepreneurship, born global firms, global virtual teams and teaching and pedagogical issues in international business. She has over 35 papers published in reputed national and international journals, such as Journal of World Business (A*), Journal of Business Research (A), International Journal of Emerging Markets (Emerald), Asia Pacific Business Review, European Journal of International Management , Transnational Corporation Review (Taylor and Francis), and Decision (IIM, Kolkata).
