Dr Justin Paul, currently a faculty member at the University of Washington Foster School of Business, USA, started his career as an officer with the Corporation Bank and later moved to academics. He was  an associate professor at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, Japan, prior to his present position. He also served as the Department Chairperson at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), quite early in his career.

Dr Paul has taught full courses at Aarhus University,  Denmark Grenoble Eco le de Management, France University of Puerto Rico ISM University, Lithuania SP Jain School of Global Management, Dubai and IIFT, New Delhi. He has been invited as a speaker and trainer by the University of Puget Sound, Washington  Saint. Martin's University, Washington Fudan University, Shanghai University of San Francisco and the University of New South Wales, Sydney. In addition, he has conducted  corporate training for South Indian Bank Federal Bank Thomas Cook South East Asian Bank, Mauritious and Al Omaniya Financial Services, Oman.

Dr Paul has authored and co-authored many best-selling textbooks. These include Business Environment, International Business, Management of Banking & Financial Services, Export-Import Management, International Marketing and Services Marketing. He has also published 25 research papers in refereed journals including the Journal of Consumer Marketing, Competitiveness Review, and Asian Case Research Journal.
