K. N. Krishnaswamy is a consultant and former professor at the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has nearly three decades of teaching and research experience in management. Before joining the faculty at IISc, he was a manager at the Directorate General of Ordnance Factories, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for over six years. He has a BE in electrical engineering from Mysore University and an ME in aeronautics and a Ph.D. in management from IISc. He has authored over 100 research papers on management science and three books. His research interests are production/operations management, industrial engineering, research methods, operations research/decision support systems/expert systems applications in operations management, R&D and technology management.
