Dr M. G. Venkateshmurthy is a renowned teacher in Computer Science with a rich teaching experience of more than 32 years. He obtained his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mysore, M.Tech. in Computer Technology from IIT, Delhi and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Anna University, Chennai. He has been the Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Malnad College of Engineering for more than two decades and is the former Dean, Faculty of Engineering, University of Mysore. He is actively involved in academics and an expert on curriculum development bodies of various Universities. Currently he is the Principal at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, Karnataka. Also he is the Dean as well as member of the academic senate, Visveswaraya Technological University, Karnataka. His areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence, Image analysis and processing, Image cryptography, Programming Languages and Operating Systems.
