Organic Chemistry by Morrison & Boyd is a classic in its field at UG level. Its detailed explanations and ability to make students think make organic chemistry a lot more enjoyable. It is a bit funny at times, like in stereochemistry, the authors write, "Remember everything has a mirror image, except a vampire, of course!". The only disappointment is that the authors chose to leave out certain topics from the earlier editions, which were interesting. What is truly like-able is that the authors try to reason out almost everything, and thats what aids understanding. To put it in one line, it is absolutely perfect, and the standard that other books on the subject should try to achieve.
